Greeting all you nice decent people, ladies and plenty man! introducing yours truly My Lord Sound & Graphics official and both unofficial blog. it’s official because it’s really run by I & I My Lord sound & Graphics up and in person, by the Man called Ranking Levy and Lady Ellen. and it’s unofficial because we’re trying to figure out for years how do you make a blog?! and we’re slowly but maybe finding out how to roll with it.
SO, our first post is to let you know wagwaan in Tel Aviv. a night called Cool & Deadly is taking place this weekend.
What’s the meaning of Cool & Deadly?
Cool & Deadly is not just a name, it’s not just a party/label/brand . it’s a whole lot more than that. it’s the way you dress, it’s a musical genre, a philosophy, it’s the way you carry yourself, it’s how you dress, it’s how you move, it’s to take slow but to move quick when the roll calls..
COOL & DEADLY describes an era of Jamaican music when the dance was more down beat musically, mellow and heavy. the bass was powerful and the people kept it cool when the situation was sometimes deadly. 1979-1984 is the golden era of that style – you can call it officially Rub A Dub and Less officially -COOL AND DEADLY
this special Cool & Deadly is a dance that we’re keeping with Abu Dubi – to those who don’t know Abu Dubi, it’s a Humus Joint and an independent Reggae Label that releases mixtape and albums to the Humus Reggae Loving crowd of Israel.
this special Mixtape is named : “School in Session”- edited by Gal Eilam & SchoolMaster- Ofer Tal
